Basic Morality Of The Play Is:

1. The battle over the spirit, waged by a Good Angel and a Bad Angel. The Good and Bad Angel also is a symbolic aspect of Faustus' own character. The former standing for order, virtue, and goodness and the latter standing for his unbridled passions and desires.
2. The parade of the Seven Deadly Sins (Pride, Covetousness, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth and Lechery). His surrender to the Deadly Sins leads to his path to Hell.
3. The potential for salvation, which exists until Faustus finally surrenders to despair and gives up all hope of being able to repent.
