Pen Pal Letter

This letter from Jasper is definitely interesting. He speaks a lot of tying knots and the way that turning a simple rope into something more fascinates him. He has sent us a length of rope and a knot chart to experiment with. He lets us know that long before he took up an interest in clock, he learned to tie knots. He also tells a story of his childhood and tying up a foster brother in a cellar. There are several phrases pertaining to time throughout his letter sporadically. He also mentions the sheriff several times. He does not seem fond of the sheriff and his shifty ways. He is determined to get to the bottom of why the sheriff is snooping around the property.
