In JWJ's letter he says "I was reminded of a moment in my childhood. I remember standing by the front door of our little house, in the hallway that connected all of the rooms on the first floor to the stairs leading up. It was from there that I watched my father one night, ripping the meat from a rack of pork ribs with his teeth. Watching him, I was transfixed by the way the glistening tendons tore and snapped in his yellow teeth."

Was this the pivotal moment in JWJ's life where he turns from little boy to killer? Watching his father, who he doesn't respect, rail at him for doing a good deed with his neighbor? Watching him tear meat from the bone and watching glistening tendons tear and snap? Did he become a cannibal after this or just a killer. Was his first victim his father?
