The Fibonacci Sequence is the series of numbers:
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, ...
The next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it.
- The 2 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+1)
- The 3 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+2),
- And the 5 is (2+3),
- and so on!
It is that simple!

The Fibonacci Sequence/Spiral is closely related to the Golden Ratio. The Golden ratio is the whole length divided by the long part
is also equal to
the long part divided by the short part.
The golden ratio (symbol is the Greek letter "phi" shown below)
is a special number approximately equal to 1.618
It appears many times in geometry, art, architecture and other areas.
JWJ's patient number is 1618 so this sequence and number is special to him.
