The newspaper clipping included in the patient file is indicative that Jasper knew the deceased victim. The only person he has mentioned that we know of from his past is his friend, Manny. He spoke of him as his friend and that he gave him a job at his pawnbrokers shop when Jasper was 16. He also mentioned that when Manny retired that Jasper went to work with Sylvia. Most likely Manny didn't retire from business, but retired in a more sinister way. Jasper has most likely murdered and dismembered his body, but there is no definitive proof that this body belongs to Manny.
