The inspectors notes give Jasper away this time. In line one he says: "My letter. My letter, about her upcoming vacation. Almost there!" He slips up by saying "her" instead of "my vacation". Meg is most certainly dead and Jasper has taken her place and is writing his own inspectors notes and probably has been for a while, since she would have noticed the absence of Dr. Willa Cortes.
