The LFoA Pen has a hidden USB port in the cap. This leads to a video of Jacob Nilson reading the Pen Pal Letter in a scared and almost teary voice. We can see JWJ walking behind him and prodding him along to keep reading the letter. Towards the end JWJ is stroking his back and shoulders and head. At the end of the video, before Jacob has a chance to close the letter, JWJ slits his throat and kills him. This explains the blood soaked letter we receive.
